We’re Right Beside Every Step of the Way
Build a Better NonProfit
Leading a health nonprofit is rewarding, but it’s also demanding. There are competing priorities, pressure to grow, and a constant need for funding and strategy—it’s a lot. I know because I’ve been there.
For over 23 years, I built and led a national nonprofit from the ground up, scaling impact, growing revenue, and navigating the highs and lows of leadership. Now, through Build a Better NonProfit, I help other nonprofit leaders do the same.
We provide:
Strategic planning
Business development
Coaching
Peer Leadership Groups exclusively for health nonprofit executives designed for executives like you—leaders who want to sharpen their strategy, expand their reach, and find a trusted partner who understands the weight of the work.
Over the past year, I’m proud to share that we’ve helped dozens of leaders like you!
You don’t have to do it alone. Let’s tackle the challenges together and build something extraordinary.
“You don’t have to do it alone. I’ve spent decades in the trenches of health nonprofits, and I’ll be your thought partner every step of the way. Whether you need clarity, strategy, or just someone who gets it — I’m here to help.”

A 23-year nonprofit executive, Jamie is a leader with a proven knack for transforming good causes into extraordinary success stories. As the founder and CEO of Build a Better NonProfit, he lends his expertise to nonprofits, helping them reach their full potential.
Previously, Jamie served as the CEO of ZERO Prostate Cancer, where his leadership led to a remarkable 500 percent growth in fundraising, reserve funds, and staff size over a decade. His strategic vision also helped launch the organization's run/walk series, which grew to become the largest men's health event series in the country with 50 locations.
Jamie's ability to unite communities toward a common cause was clear when he brought together the prostate cancer cause through the acquisition of Us TOO and launched its 10-region chapter program. These moves, together with his initiation of a successful multi-organizational partnership, led to an impressive $350M directed towards patient support.
Under Jamie's leadership, ZERO consistently earned industry-wide recognition. It graced The NonProfit Times' "50 Best NonProfits to Work for" list nine times and achieved a four-star rating from Charity Navigator. Moreover, it maintained a flawless record of perfect independent audits for over a decade.
Jamie lives outside of Boston with his family. He is a former endurance athlete with a black belt in Kyokushin karate, a pop culture geek, and a nonprofit nerd. He mentors others in leadership, teamwork, strategy, fundraising, board-building, and advocacy.
